Four pillars, one foundation
Njalowei means, in the local language of Sierra Leone: water source. Everything depends on the SOURCE of life, the Lord Jesus Christ. From this thought our four pillars arose.
Njalowei Foundation has been active in Sierra Leone since 2021. The foundation's name refers to the water source where the Lord Jesus met the Samaritan woman and pointed her to the Living Water (John 4). From this Biblical image come four pillars, summarized in the Dutch acronym BRON: Bidden (Prayer), Redding (Salvation), Onderwijs (Education) and Noden (Needs). Together, these pillars form the foundation of the work of Njalowei Foundation.

Prayer
Knowing that it is God Himself Who gives the growth, we are dependent on prayer. Everyone who has our work at heart, we call upon to support this work with prayer, for the extension of His Kingdom.
We also want to bring this work to attention through presentations at church and (youth) society evenings, organizations and schools.

Salvation
Bringing the local population into contact with God's Word and the message of sin and grace, law and Gospel, in which the only way to true salvation is declared. It is our hope to bring many into contact with God's Word through Bible distribution, but also to teach and ground those who have received the Word.

Education
Setting up and maintaining Christian (primary) education and building a sustainable school building. Many in Sierra Leone are illiterate. That is why we want to provide education, improving living conditions and increasing the self-reliance of the coming generation. This education is based on Biblical norms and values.

Needs
We want to help the population by providing facilities so they can provide for their own basic needs, such as clean drinking water and food. In addition, we want to help the local population with medical provisions by making basic medication available and funding necessary and life-saving treatments and operations.
