Education for church workers
Well-equipped pastors and evangelists are indispensable for building up the church in Sierra Leone. Njalowei is therefore committed to the theological formation of pastors, evangelists and other church workers, so that they can faithfully lead the congregations entrusted to their care in the proclamation of God's Word.
For this education we are able to use the curriculum of the NET Foundation, with which several dozen students are already being trained. The lessons cover biblical theology, church history and practical homiletics, always from the confession of the Three Forms of Unity: the Canons of Dort, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Belgic Confession.
Together with the Nigeria Reformed Church
This training takes place in close cooperation with the Nigeria Reformed Church, the independent sister church that emerged from the mission work of the Zending Gereformeerde Gemeenten in Nigeria. Pastors and former students in turn guide younger brothers, so that the knowledge of God's Word is passed on from generation to generation.
A training centre of their own
On the compound near Songo, work is underway on a theological school that will give this work a permanent home: a training centre for pastors and evangelists, with room for seminars, conferences and the building up of church and society.
