Njalowei Compound
On a four-hectare site near Songo, Njalowei is developing a Christian education and training centre with a theological school, a primary school and a secondary school.

This is a multi-year project. We keep a close eye on this page and update the information and progress regularly.
Education Centre and Theological School in Sierra Leone
In the vicinity of Songo, Sierra Leone, a plot of four hectares has recently been purchased. At this location, work is underway to develop a versatile Christian education and training centre that will be of great significance for the local community.
A theological school and two schools
The land is currently being prepared for construction, so that a theological school, a primary school and a secondary school can be built here in the future. The aim of this project is to offer both spiritual and practical formation to children, young people and future leaders.
More than a school building
The theological school will serve as a training centre for pastors, evangelists and church workers. In addition, the building will be designed so that it can also be used for church services on Sundays. The spacious hall also offers possibilities for conferences, congresses, seminars and other gatherings that contribute to the building up of church and society.
Forming character and self-reliance
The schools will offer Christian education, paying attention not only to knowledge and skills, but also to the forming of character, norms and values from a Biblical perspective. An important part of the education programme will focus on promoting self-reliance and independence. That is why school farms are also being developed on the site, where pupils can gain practical experience in agriculture and food production.
Sustainable basic facilities
To make the project sustainable, investments are also being made in basic facilities such as a reliable water supply together with Ewellcon and a power supply. This lays a solid foundation for an education centre that can be of significance for the region for generations to come.
Additional plans
In addition to the schools and the theological training, there are plans to build homes for evangelists working in the region. We also hope to establish an orphanage, where vulnerable children can receive shelter, care and education.
Furthermore, it is our intention to open a first aid post, so that basic medical care becomes available for pupils, staff and residents of the surrounding area.
In this way the project is growing into a centre where education, faith and practical help come together in service of the community in Sierra Leone.
Our aim
With this project we hope to create a place where Reformed education can be given to students, evangelists and other workers, so that the Biblical message may continue to be spread further in Sierra Leone.
In addition, we want to offer a safe environment to children who need care and protection, where they can be raised in a Christian manner and receive education, combined with practical skills that help them make a positive contribution to their community and to the future of Sierra Leone.
Above all, it is our desire that through this work God's Name will be honoured and served, and that His Word may also be a blessing to many in Sierra Leone.
