Our projects
Evangelism and helping with physical and psychological needs go hand in hand. We help through one-time and long-term projects.

Would you like to make a lasting impact on a child's life? Every day, with your help, we support more than 300 children.
This is how you helpBRON – source of living water
Njalowei means, in the local language of Sierra Leone, "water source" — and refers to the well where the Lord Jesus met the Samaritan woman. There He points her to the Living Water (John 4). From this Biblical image come four pillars, summarized in the Dutch acronym BRON: Bidden (Prayer), Redding (Salvation), Onderwijs (Education) and Noden (Needs).
Together, these pillars form the foundation of the work of Njalowei Foundation.
Prayer
Knowing that it is God Himself Who gives the growth, the foundation knows itself to be entirely dependent on prayer. As the Lord Jesus says in John 15:5: "For without Me you can do nothing." All our labor therefore stands in the sign of dependence on God's blessing.
Salvation
Our goal is to bring the local population into contact with God's Word and with the Biblical message of sin and grace, law and Gospel. In this proclamation lies the only way to true salvation, as it is written in Acts 4:12: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Education
The foundation is committed to setting up and maintaining Christian (primary) education, based on Biblical norms and values. Guiding is the word from Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Needs
In addition, Njalowei Foundation wants to support the population in providing for basic needs, such as clean drinking water, food and medical care. Here the words of Christ from Matthew 25:40 resonate: "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
Our locations
Njalowei currently has three independent locations: Freetown, Malal and Makollo. These are marked on the map with green dots. The new Njalowei compound (directly next to Makollo), currently under construction, is shown with a purple dot.
There are also locations with which Njalowei maintains a friendly relationship, or where support has been offered in the past. These locations are marked on the map with blue dots.
With every new project our network keeps growing, and a new location is added to the map. Curious about the story behind one of the dots? View our projects by clicking on the dots and discover what happens at each location.
