Board in Sierra Leone

How the work in Sierra Leone is locally safeguarded and governed.

Njalowei Foundation Sierra Leone

To safeguard the continuity of the work and ensure the organization does not depend on a single person, Njalowei Foundation has established its own entity in Sierra Leone: Njalowei Foundation Sierra Leone.

This foundation is based on a clear cooperation agreement. It stipulates that important decisions can only be made in consultation with Njalowei Foundation. In this way, not only is oversight maintained over the activities and the use of funds, but the sustainable continuation of the work is also safeguarded.

Njalowei Foundation Sierra Leone also has an independent local board. This board consists of a chair, secretary and treasurer, who jointly bear responsibility for the proper functioning of the foundation and the implementation of its objectives. These roles are filled by Moses Jawara (chair), Abu Bakarr Tarawalie (secretary) and Rejoice Jalloh (treasurer) respectively.

This governance structure combines local involvement, transparency and responsible governance with close cooperation with Njalowei Foundation in the Netherlands. This creates a solid basis for the further development and continuity of the work in Sierra Leone.
