Salvation

Salvation

Purpose and calling

Njalowei's desire is to bring the local population of Sierra Leone into contact with God's Word and with the Biblical message of sin and grace, of law and Gospel. In this proclamation lies the only way to true salvation, as God's Word testifies: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

We look forward to education being given in Sierra Leone on a reformed foundation. In this we confess the Bible as the infallible Word of God and adhere to the Three Forms of Unity: the Canons of Dort, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Belgic Confession. For education we may make use of the curriculum of NET Foundation, of which several dozen students already make use.

Hope from the Gospel

In John 4 we read how the Samaritan woman was convicted of her sins and at the same time heard of the Messiah: "I that speak unto thee am he." She went into the city and testified of what the Lord had done in her heart: "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" Many went out to hear Him. The Lord Jesus then said: "Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

With that same desire we may do our work. We hope and pray that many in Sierra Leone may hear the voice of the Son of God. That the Word may find entrance into hearts, to the honor of God's Name and to the eternal salvation of sinners.
