Bible Transport 2021

The heart of the work is sharing the Gospel and proclaiming God's Word in Limba, Malal, Rochen and the surrounding villages. Only the Gospel can bring real, lasting change in the hearts of the people in these villages. Prayer for the powerful working of God's Spirit is indispensable in this.

Bible Transport 2021

Following the pledge of the Gereformeerde Bijbelstichting (Reformed Bible Society), 500 Bibles are collected. To use the space on the pallet as efficiently as possible during transport, the Bibles are packed together with, among other things, clothing in a wooden crate.

The pallet is securely screwed shut, wrapped in plastic and prepared for a long journey of more than 6,000 km. The crate was then shipped by truck and container vessel.

After about two months the cargo arrived in Freetown. After long and difficult negotiations, the crate and its contents were released by customs and port staff. We received a photo showing it being transported on an old truck to the provincial capital, Bo. From there, all the Bibles and other items were brought to the village of Limba. After a long journey with the necessary setbacks, everything arrived safely.

It is moving to see how grateful the population is for the literature received. Bibles are gratefully accepted, and booklets with Bible stories and workbooks are read widely.
