School in Limba

Thanks to the construction of a school in the village of Limba, 300 children now receive Christian education every day.

In many surrounding villages, good Christian education is lacking. Because of poverty, many children cannot go to school. Thanks to low school fees, many children now have access to quality Christian education.

What we want to offer the children

Our greatest goal is to bring the children into contact with God's Word. In addition, we provide practical education so that the growing generation is better able to be self-reliant: Christian education, practical skills and a safe place.

Grateful

Sierra Leone is a poor country. That has a major impact in many areas, including education. About half of the population cannot read or write. Primary schools are often too far away or simply too expensive. The schools that do exist are mostly Islamic in nature.

In these circumstances it is a great privilege that children may receive Christian education. At Grace Academy in Limba, teaching is based on reformed literature. The teachers are also involved in church life.

After the LORD, we are grateful to you for the generous support given in realising this school. Ongoing support is also needed for the daily teaching of some 300 pupils.

Responsibility

By learning Biblical history, young children's hearts are shaped. In this way we may give them a foundation for the future.

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. — Deuteronomy 6:7

Branch location

A contribution was recently made to establish a branch location. This means many children no longer need to travel to Limba with all the dangers that involves. A branch has therefore been realised in the village of Bontiwo. Njalowei has contributed to this.
