Biblical literature

Besides practical relief work, Stichting Njalowei attaches great value to the spreading of God's Word. That is why the foundation has for several years worked together with the Gereformeerde Bijbelstichting (GBS) to make Bibles, Bible reading booklets, evangelism calendars and other Biblical literature available to children, young people and adults in Sierra Leone. The GBS supports the distribution of Bibles and Biblical literature worldwide and has also included the work of Stichting Njalowei in Sierra Leone among its projects.

Great need for literature

The need for good Christian literature is great. Many people do not own a Bible of their own and have limited opportunities to receive Christian teaching. Through schools, churches, evangelism posts and home visits, literature is distributed in, among other places, Freetown, Makollo, Malal Rochen, Mile 91 and Kaballa. As a result, more and more children and adults are coming into contact with the message of the Gospel.

Thousands of Bibles and booklets

Thanks to the cooperation with the GBS, hundreds of Bibles, thousands of Bible reading booklets and evangelism calendars have been sent to Sierra Leone in recent years. These materials are used during school opening devotions, Bible lessons, church services and evangelism work. In this way children not only learn to read, but at the same time become acquainted with Biblical history and the message of God's Word.

Eternal well-being

The distribution of Biblical literature is a valuable addition to the foundation's other projects. Where food, education and care provide for people's daily needs, God's Word points to the eternal well-being of man. It is the foundation's desire that many, through reading and hearing the Bible, may come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and the rich message of grace and redemption.
