Reformed Education Freetown
In the middle of the busy centre of Freetown, almost 200 children come together every day. They receive Christian education.

Meeting Abu Bakarr Tarawalie
Through the Net Foundations programme we came into contact with Abu Bakarr Tarawalie in 2024. From his desire to serve his country and people, he returned to Sierra Leone to establish not only a church, but also a school where children receive education from God's Word.
196 pupils, Christian education
Through much dedication, perseverance and dependence on the Lord, this wish could become reality. 196 children now attend the school daily. They receive Christian education there, in which the Bible occupies a central place. Reformed Biblical teaching is already being given, but there are plans to further strengthen and expand this in the coming years.
Cooperation with Njalowei
For the school too, Abu Bakarr has asked to work together with Njalowei. Conversations are taking place about this, because we see the importance of good education that not only conveys knowledge, but also points children to the message of God's Word.
Formation from Biblical principles
It is remarkable to see that children may receive education from Biblical and reformed principles from a young age. In an environment where such opportunities are scarce, the school offers a place where pupils learn, grow and are formed every day. We hope and pray that this education will be a blessing to the children, their families and the wider community.
